Dream Phuket Hotel and Spa Review

When traveling, I like to visit the tourist epicenters because they’re usually the most fun and rowdy spots. Sometimes though, I just need to get away to the tranquil and quiet side of the country. I arrived in Patong Beach Phuket which is absolutely nuts. The beach and water are gorgeous but us tourists are harassed by the locals every step you take for a piece of your wallet. Massage, taxi, food, ping pong show…girls grabbing and hanging on to you for dear life as you are just trying to walk down the street. After a night there, I had to escape this madness. Luckily for me the brand spanking new Dream Phuket Hotel and Spa had just opened up and invited me in for a 3 night stay.

Dream Phuket Hotel is located in the quiet and secluded affluent area of Surin. It is about 35 minute drive north of Patong. This eco-friendly hotel in on the West Coast of Phuket, a stone’s throw away from Layan Beach, Laguna, enchantingly framed by the crystal clear waters of the Andaman Sea.

Dream Hotel and Spa opened in December 2015 and is a quality build. It is sleek, refined and intelligently designed. Upon entering this haven traversing the outside lobby you are struck by a pond like pool with lily pads. The main pool is lined by commodious cabanas and hotel rooms with balconies and porches facing it. Some ground floor units have mini plunge pools on their porches and penthouse suites have larger pools on their balconies. Each room features floor-to-ceiling windows and spectacular views of the beautiful hotel pool, private garden and pool or the lush surrounding green hills. The pond pool is a gorgeous anchor that lights up with tasteful neon at night. A far cry from the debaucherously Patong neon.
