Dolce Italian Miami New Summer Menu
Dolce Italian is a sexy venue at the Gale Hotel South Beach that is packed every night. The ambiance, accommodating Italian waiters, wine list and Chef Paolo Dorigato’s delightful cuisine make this spot a winner.
We were in recently to review the regular menu, which you can read here.
Executive Chef Paolo Dorigato combines his prominent culinary background and Italian techniques to create new Summer dishes including the Tuna Crudo, a refreshing mix of watermelon, avocado with a pine nuts lemon vinaigrette. Eggplant and Burrata, candied tomatoes, prosciutto on a toasty bread stick and Asparagus Soup with a lemon crème fraiche.
To accompany your antipasti is the Pazza pizza, a combination of spicy salami, zucchini and candied tomatoes and three new pasta dishes. The Pea Tortelli (pictured above) with ricotta, jumbo lump crab and lobster sauce is great. This Pea pasta dish was unique, sweet and tasty. The sweet ricotta coupled with the crab was a new take on pasta that we quite enjoyed.
The Heirloom Beets with haricot vert, toasted hazelnuts, goat’s cheese crostini & sherry vinaigrette was solid. The beets coupled with the honey goat cheese crostini worked stupendously in tandem.
Lemon Ricotta Cavatelli, spring green vegetables, pesto, artichokes and a ricotta salata; and the Agnolotti Primavera which features a roasted chicken, fava beans, artichokes and pecorino.
The 8 oz Filet with potato leek millefoglie, baby carrots & wilted spinach is not a new menu item, but was deliriously good. The steak was succulent, soft and cooked to perfection. Nothing wrong with combining some of the old gems with the new.
If you are looking for a sensual South Beach venue with marvelous food, attentive service, Italian wines & a vivacious pulsating ambiance, then Dolce Italian Miami will leave you satiated in all respects.
