Deep Tropics Music Art & Style Festival is bringing house music, deep thought, and sustainability to the South.
Want to wrap up this hot AF summer with a tropical island getaway? On August 24-25 Deep Tropics Music Art & Style Festival is throwing its second installment in the heart of Nashville. And with the combined lineup and experiences, this festival could be the shot of deep island vibes you so desperately crave.
Deep Tropics is an all around music, art, and style experience. Bringing together forward-thinking artists, musicians, muralists and taste-makers from all over the world to complete one simple mission: create an experience that reconnects Nashville and travelers with Deep Culture. This two-day festival will be a multi-genre, multi-venue island party that is touting a stocked lineup of artists that you almost never see in the South East. If you were jonesing for a mostly-house, little trap and hip hop fest, Deep Topics is where you need to be at the end of August.
Most notable on the docket; TroyBoi, What So Not, Keys N Krates, and Cashmere Cat. Current Denver resident Lane 8 will also be making an appearance, along with ultra-housey Amtrac and Shiba San. And that’s not even half the artists on the lineup.
If this lineup has piqued your interest, and you simply can’t wait to hear some of these acts, the masterminds behind Deep Tropics have organized several shows and events around the south featuring some of these talented artists – a collection of shows that culminate to the two-day tropical extravaganza. If you can’t make it to one of these shows and you’re itching for a solid selection of jams, you can always bide your time listening to the curated SoundCloud playlist:
Possibly the greatest aspect of this all encompassing Deep festival is the price point. We’ve all grown used to paying a high price for a weekend filled with music and fun experiences. But Deep Tropics wanted to make sure anyone who wanted to come and enjoy the sounds and feels of getting Deep with a local community, could.
2-day GA tickets run from $60-$80 (18+) and if you want an even more elevated experience, VIP prices cap out at only $185 (21+). Yeah, you read that correctly, a two-day VIP experience for only $185 that includes:
- Admission Deep Tropics August 24-25 at Bicentennial Park
- Access to the Backstage Area, Curated by Red Bull
- Climate-Controlled VIP Tent & Bar
- Air-Conditioned restrooms
- Designated Side-Stage Viewing Area
- Shaded Hammock Grove
- 30+ Performances
- Access to specialty food trucks, including vegetarian & vegan options
- Tropic selections from dozens of art craft vendors + official merch
- Traveler PLUS tickets include an exclusive rooftop pool party on Saturday, August 24th from 11 am – 2 pm with Dr. Fresch & More TBA
Honestly, for that price, and this lineup, it may be worth it to spring for those VIP passes to have the time of your life just as summer is coming to a close.
So obviously, affordability and curating an artful community experience are the major highlights of Deep Tropics. On top of all of that, a significant portion of the proceeds from the festival will benefit an incredibly impactful local organization, Greenways for Nashville.
Greenways for Nashville is a non-profit organization raising awareness and support for Nashville’s greenways initiative. Working in partnership with the Metro Parks Department and Greenways and Open Space Commission; Greenway’s mission is to create, preserve, and promote a system of greenways in Nashville and Davidson County. Greenways woks to provide all citizens with barrier-free access to natural resources and wildlife, recreational opportunities, and stress free communicating for bikers and walkers.
With their collective efforts to benefit Greenways for Nashville, it’s no surprise Deep Tropics has a hard focus on sustainability, and creating an environment meant to enrich everyone – including the surrounding community living in Nashville. It is a major mission of festival organizers to be the greenest, cleanest, and most conscious festival the city has ever seen.
