DB Bistro Miami Spice Menu 2016

DB Bistro Miami Spice Menu 2016

What I love about Miami Spice is that you can dine at some of Miami’s most elegant and expensive restaurants at moderate prices. The DB Bistro Miami Spice menu this year is one of the finest. Treat yourself to a dinner at this upscale restaurant for the dining experience that is top of the line. From location and ambiance to décor and service, DB Bistro Miami Spice is the best time to visit!

DB Bistro Miami Spice cocktail

Pair your appetizer off with the Strawberry Caipirinha which comes with Cachaca, Pink Peppercorn, and Lime. This cocktail is on the sweeter side with a very pronounced strawberry flavor.

DB Bistro Miami Spice foie

For Appetizer, my absolutely highest recommendation goes to the Foie Gras Torchon that comes with kumquat, kalamansi, and crispy ginger. The Foie itself is soft and velvety in texture with a saltier flavor profile. It pairs beautifully with the sweetness and tartness of the kumquats and kalamansi. Each element on the dish added a complexity to the dish that complemented one another.

I recommend the Red Chateau de la Chaize, Beaujolais, which can be ordered by the glass or bottle. I’m biased towards red wine which is why I recommend this bottle for your Miami Spice dinner at DB Bistro Moderne. The White Domaine de la Fruitibre, Muscadet is a fine white wine option as well.

DB Bistro Miami Spice entrée options are all solid menu items. I would recommend choosing based on personally preference or what you’re in the mood for because you can’t go wrong with any.

DB Bistro Miami Spice mussels

I’m typically not a huge fan of mussels, but the Mussels in the DB Bistro Miami Spice menu were delicious! The Mussles come in a Vadouvan Curry Broth, Culantro, and Grilled Sourdough Bread. The broth is Foodgasmic! I recommend you fork out the meat from each mussel shell into the broth and discard the shells. This will keep the mussel meat warm in the broth and it allows you to enjoy the mussels much easier. Use a spoon to soup up the mussel meat with as much broth as you can fit on your spoon. This is THE BEST WAY to fully enjoy mussels!

DB Bistro Miami Spice Coq Au Vin

The Coq Au Vin comes with Bacon, Onions, and Mushrooms. Dark meat chicken is braised in Red Wine and comes served in a deep dark red almost brownish color. The red wine almost becomes a reduction and delivers sweetness to the dish. I loved the addition of thick cut bacon slices which provided fatty flavors and crispy texture. I also enjoyed the inclusion of meaty mushrooms that soaked up the braising liquids and added substance to the dish.

DB Bistro Miami Spice skirt steak

The Skirt Steak comes with Charred Ramp Vinaigrette, Crispy Yucca, and Watercress. The Skirt Steak is DB Bistro Moderne’s take on the classic pairing of steak and fries. Nothing fancy here, the Skirt Steak is seasoned simply and cooked to perfection, medium-rare of course! The Crispy Yucca is truly crispy and pairs PERECTLY with the soft Melt-In-Your-Mouth texture of the steak. Charred ramp is hidden underneath the watercress and just behind the steak is seasoned with luscious vinaigrette.

DB Bistro Miami Spice brownie

For dessert, the Brownie Sundae is a fool proof option. The cup is filled with Caramelized Maple Pecan, Chantilly, and Vanilla Ice Cream. The brownie is introduced as cubes which allows for added texture to the Sundae. I found the cubed brownies to be an excellent touch. The Caramelized Maple pecan delivered excellent texture and sweetness.

DB Bistro Miami Spice chocolate bar

My other recommendation for dessert goes to the Gianduja Chocolate Bar that includes Hazelnut Biscuit, Milk Chocolate Sauce, and Orange Sorbet. The dessert has texture sprinkled throughout the dish. Like all good chocolate bars, there needs to be layers and variety of flavors. The base of the chocolate is crunchy whereas the rest of the bar has soft texture which appears to be mousse and cake-like. The orange sorbet was there to provide a sharp contrast with citrus to complement the chocolate layers of chocolate flavors in the bar.

DB Bistro Miami Spice madeleines

I had to mention these Madeleines! They come served warm (which we all know just makes all desserts better!). These are tiny shell shaped sponge cakes that are typically made with very finely ground almonds and a pronounced lemon flavor. The appearance as they come served in a basket, dusted with powdered sugar makes you feel like a little kid.
