Coya Miami Review – Exquisite Cuisine & Ambiance
There is no dearth of fantastic restaurants in Miami anymore. Coya Miami happens to be one of my favorite Miami restaurants. Tasty food & an alluring setting that is pulsating with vibrant energy. The marvelous mixology offerings and talented waitstaff is the reason this Brickell hot spot is always packed.
The venue is sleek, commodious and enchanting. If you have a chance to dine in the Members Only lounge I highly recommend it. There was a melodious Latin jazz duo going off at my Saturday night dine. Coya is heading in a new cuisine direction by focusing more on the Asian influences in Peruvian cuisine. Karim was our astute, kind ave very entertaining waiter. He just got promoted as the new Manager at DOA, so sadly he will not be able to serve you. Congrats Karim, well deserved!
Start with the EMPANADAS DE CARNE Beef empanada, panca, potato, cilantro salsa. These empanadas had a super flakey dough encasing that was baked by deft pastry hands.
Want to be brave and try something new? How about Ox heart. The CORAZON TRADICIONAL Ox heart, ají panca and parsley’s flavor is superb, but brace yourself for a chewy and interesting texture. Spicy heart seems like it will be good for you.
The SOLOMILLO DE RES “Spicy beef” tenderloin, star anise, crispy shallots is out of control scrumptious. This signature Spicy beef which helped launch Coya back in 2012 is a Must Order! Delicate, supple and bursting with unique flavors such as star anise & ginger and this might be the Dos Equis guy goto steak. Make sure to pair it with the perfectly crispy Peruvian potatoes.
The ARROZ NIKKEI Chilean sea bass, rice, lime and chili is another must order, simply glorious! Thick, meaty and this subtle, sweet and enticing glaze that will make your meal ever so blissful.
End this stellar meal with a foodgasm inducing dark chocolate cake! The Chocolate Fundido is composed of Fortunato No. 4 chocolate & roasted white chocolate ice cream. Warm, gooey, soft and crunchy dessert perfection. The crunchy dark cookie is a divine treat a top a treat. Pair it with a sweet Hungarian wine to end the meal in a refined European fashion.
Whether you are craving a stellar meal, have a hot date or out of towners you need to impress, Coya Miami will not let you down.
