Appetizers
To start the evening, I ordered the Sweet & Crunchy Shrimpand Asian Pork Belly Tostadas. The Sweet & Crunchy Shrimp was created with lettuce leaves for wrapping, Asian cabbage slaw with pineapple, Gochujang aioli, cashew dip and lime. This dish is absolutely delicious with a perfect balance between sweet and spicy with an excellent crunch for texture. This item was paired with Bin 39, Rosé. The Rosé had a light, crisp sweet flavor.
The Asian Pork Belly Tostadas are a fan-favorite at Cooper’s Hawk and now I know why. They are visually appealing and taste just as amazing as they look. Definitely my favorite appetizer, made with scallions, sesame seeds, cilantro, radish and sweet chili BBQ sauce. This appetizer is paired with Bin 94, Cab Zin. This wine is a nice blend between Cabernet and Zinfandel, creating an exquisite, excellent flavor.
Entrées
The Trio of Medallions struck my eye as soon as I read the description. The Trio of Medallions comes with horseradish, bleu cheese and parmesan-crusted filet medallions, along withMary’s potatoes and asparagus. This dish was mind blowing with unique flavors. I have never seen parmesan-crusted filet medallions offered on a menu before and am already drooling at the thought of returning to Cooper’s Hawk Winery to enjoy this delicacy again. This entrée was paired with Bin 80, Barrel Reserve. This is an exclusive wine to Cooper’s Hawk Winery & Restaurants and is an absolute fan-favorite. Mixing several different wines including Cabernet Sauvignon, Cabernet Franc, Malbec, Merlot, Petit Verdot, a blend of Syrah, andPetite Syrah. This wine can only be bought at Cooper’s Hawk Winery & Restaurants and only wine members can purchase bottles to take home.
An amazing entrée for all our seafood lovers is the Soy Ginger Atlantic Salmon. The dish comes with wasabi-buttered mashed andAsian slaw. This dish melts in your mouth and leaves a fantastic flavor making you want more. This entrée is paired with Bin 50, Scarletto, a Brachetto-Style Sparkling Red.
Dessert
The dessert menu options at Cooper’s Hawk Winery & Restaurants are phenomenal. Offering Key Lime Pie, Cooper’s Hawk Chocolate Cake, Caramel Banana Bread Sundae, Reese’s Ice Cream Cookie and many more.
I had to try the Salted Caramel Créme Brûlée with fresh berries and flaky sea salt. It was incredible. Some of the best crème brûlée I’ve ever had. I also tried the Lemon Ice Wine Cheesecake. It was my first time trying ice wine and the staff was generous enough to bring ice wine separately, so I could distinguish the flavors between the Ice Wine and the Cheesecake. This allowed me to understand how these flavors infused together are a delightful dessert masterpiece.
