C’est Rouge at The Faena Hotel Marvels
Miami’s art, music and theater scene have really flourished over the past decade. Long gone are the days when all Miami was good for was partying and gorgeous people. A new dazzling edition to the Miami theater scene is C’est Rouge at the exquisite Faena Theater. It is a fun, sexy, and entertaining cabaret & music show that is worth seeing. We will not share too much since we want the show to be fresh and full of surprises.
C’est Rouge! is an original Faena production, designed by world renowned choreographer and stage director Blanca Li. A sensual and seductive revue of singular vignettes set to Latin American and Jazz rhythms by an extraordinary septet band, C’est Rouge! fuses entertainment, humor and beauty to showcase the ability of the human body to create awe-inspiring performances.
While all the performers are fabulous, the radiant star that shimmers is Irina Kazakova, who is my favorite person to stalk on instagram 😉 Irina’s grace, intensity, beauty and unique sets captivated the crowd. I wish I could get in and out of circus skirts as adeptly as she can.
Alan Faena has brought together a first-class creative artistic team, featuring Blanca Li as Director and Choreographer, Dani Morla as Artistic Director, Rafael Olarra as Set Designer, Tao Gutierrez as Musical Director, Charles Carcopino for videos and Laurent Mercier as Costume Designer.
Li has worked closely with a very special cast of dancers, musicians, singers and acrobats tailoring their acts to highlight each of their individual techniques and talents. Enhanced by a collection of stunning costumes, the latest technology in video and light design, and a masterful choice and arrangement of songs from Latin, Jazz and R&B classic repertoire, C’est Rouge! at Faena Theater promises a beautiful and transcendent experience.
C’est Rouge! invites tourists and locals to experience a memorable show in an unforgettable setting: the 3,000 square-foot, 150-seat Faena Theater provides an unmatched venue to enjoy live performances. Designed by Alan Faena, the intimate setting evokes the grand style of European opera houses, juxtaposing it with the glamour of 1950s Miami. The sumptuous space is marked by gold-leaf and red velvet decor, a dramatic curtain, and a gorgeous statement chandelier. Past Faena Theater performances include the venerable South American artists Caetano Veloso and Gilberto Gil, electrifying songwriter and musician Grace Potter, alt-synth trio Miike Snow and R&B sensations Andra Day and Miguel. C’est Rouge! marks the first original production for Faena Theater.
C’est Rouge! doors open at 9:30pm and show begins at 10:30pm beginning June 4, 2016. Tickets for the show begin at $45 and can be purchased via Ticketmaster.com. For additional information please visit www.faena.com and watch the trailer there.
