Cafe Kush Opens in MiMo District
Miami’s iconic Kush Hospitality expand to the MiMo District with Cafe Kush, a retro Euro-inspired bistro, at the Gold Dust Motel by Selina. Cafe Kush opened their doors recently on December 8th and have been dazzling guests with their signature tropical, vintage Miami vibes. There are even personal artifacts from Matt’s family used as decor, such as his Grandmother’s vintage french hat box from the 60s! For those who want to enjoy the Miami’s sweater weather, waterfront seating is available.
The menu at Cafe Kush blends European classics with all time Kush favorites. French Onion Soup and Frog Legs starters make our lips water for more, while award-winning Burgers and Chicken and Waffles are available to wash down with refreshing local craft beer. Liquor connoisseurs will be charmed by Matt’s homemade one month aged Vermouth.
Hors D’oeuvres
Frog Legs from the Gulf Of Mexico, Cuisses De Grenouilles, are lightly battered, then fried to a light crisp. And, out of the three homemade sauces served with this starter (BBQ, Honey Sriracha, Creamy Garlic), we deemed Honey Sriracha to be absolute heaven. Save this juicy sauce to dip with a side of Truffle Fries! Beef Carpaccio also satisfies the palette’s lighter side with Horseradish Mustard Aioli, Hardboiled Egg, Mixed Greens, Sea Salt, and Black Pepper.
Les Plats Principeaux
Cafe Kush Mussels are purely divine with aromatic, buttery white wine broth and a side of fresh french bread. Also, The provencal stewed vegetable dish, Ratatouille, is a perfect vegetarian dish. There’s something special about the simple pleasure of having vegetables crafted in the kitchen for us.
In House Made Dessert
The highlight of our experience was our delectable ending. Cafe Kush surprises us with their insanely sexy Vegan Chocolate Mousse. Every whippy scoop of this mousse tantalized our lips. This vegan dessert is made with only two ingredients, chickpeas and cacao!
