Byblos, which gained immediate success after its Toronto launch, is set to officially open late February, 2015, in the heart of Miami Beach’s hottest dining destination. Taking over two floors of the heritage Shorecrest Building at The James Royal Palm, the 200-seat Byblos is poised to bring diners the vibrant and exciting flavors of the Eastern Mediterranean and become part of Miami’s quickly blossoming culinary scene.
Exploring the bold flavors of Eastern Mediterranean, Byblos will blend time-honored classic cooking techniques with modern methods, to create inspired dishes. Executive Chef Stuart Cameron (Nao, Weslodge and Patria), has created dishes that showcase the regionally-specific spices and flavors crafting a menu that will truly be a coastal and cultural mosaic, served family style in a convivial atmosphere.
“The food will be both authentic yet distinct,” proclaims Executive Chef Stuart Cameron. “We are building on the essence of the tradition, letting them guide us as we create a new methods and develop our unique interpretation to Eastern Mediterranean cuisine.”
Cameron has traveled far and wide, truly immersing himself in flavors that embody the geography of the Eastern Mediterranean coast, The menu will artfully integrate components unique to Florida without losing regional authenticity such as Argan and olive oils. Traditional plates and tea sets will provide a special touch, while local beers and wines will accompany provincial dishes on the menu.
“We are very excited to be opening our first restaurant and lounge outside of Canada in Miami which is considered a cultural hotbed in the U.S.,” says INK Entertainment CEO Charles Khabouth. “Miami is a leading city for hospitality and Byblos will offer a truly unique dining experience that will stimulate and heighten the senses with every aspect of the concept; from the genuinely unique menu selections, to the cocktails and the musical programming.”
