By Michael Vallens and Samantha Dockser
The burger game in Los Angeles is serious business. Whether it’s a fast food burger or a fancy gastropub creation, one must have a concept that is visually appealing, uses high quality ingredients and is affordable to the masses. Very few will be able to achieve this, but Hollywood’s newest burger joint Burgerim has just the concept that is creating quite the commotion in the blogosphere.
Burgerim is an Israeli-based burger chain that emphasizes the quality of their ingredients. Whether it is the freshest produce, house-made buns and secret sauce recipes or beef sourced from a prestigious cattle farm in Nebraska, Burgerim makes sure the consumer knows where their products come from, an ever growing concern for Angelinos.
It’s the concept of the “mini” burger (don’t call it a slider) that Burgerim has perfected. Customers can choose between 2 or 3 mini bugers. Whether you are in the mood for Beef, Chicken, fish, or vegetarian, with 10 different protein options and an equal amount of different toppings, Burgerim will fulfill your ever burger desire with their “mix your flavors” feature.
Burgers are prepared medium to medium well and uses a secret recipe House Sauce that really stands out. Let’s not forget about the fresh baked sesame seed buns that provide the necessary sturdiness and have a remarkable texture.
I chose the Beef, Lamb and Marquez (Spicy Beef) mini burgers which were presented in a box that fits the pint-sized burgers perfectly. Burgerim’s staff always check off which protein each burger is on the inside of the box, so it will not be confusing, as these burgers looked similar.
The Beef mini burger had a great charbroiled tastes that one can only get from grilling over open flame.
The Lamb was rich with a Middle Eastern flavor which was extremely pleasant; I made sure to savor each bite.
The Marquez burger was spiced just right. It was flavor packed and left me satisfied to the max.
My colleague selected the Veggie and Turkey mini burgers which were both exceptional. The Veggie mini burger was mind blowing. This was not your typical dry Veggie burger; it was juicy, delicious and seasoned perfectly.
The Turkey mini burger was no slouch either. Usually, Turkey burgers can be thought of as a healthy substitute for beef burgers, but the Turkey mini burger at Burgerim proves that it deserves its own moment in the spotlight.
These photogenic mini burgers held together nicely without creating a mess and left us wanting more. Burgerim will be offering fast, in-house home delivery in the near future. With more locations opening in Los Angeles and across the country, Burgerim has the foresight to be a powerhouse in the competitive burger business.
