Party with Bonobo and St Germain in Brooklyn on July 1
By Lauren Johnson
Hey Brooklynites! Looking for a summer party to survive the sweltering heat wave? Then look no further, because this Sunday, July 1, epic summer party spot The Brooklyn Mirage will be hosting one of electronic dance music’s biggest legends: Bonobo. Bonobo – joined by France’s St Germain, Matthew Dear, and Daktyl – will be returning to New York City for a special live performance after selling out two shows in London.
Bonobo has been killing it in the EDM scene after the release of last year’s Migration album, which landed him two Grammy nominations with its slow beats and thematic emphasis on living abroad. Best of all? Bonobo is going to be joined on stage by a live, six-part band which will include a drummer, strings, guitars, keyboard, and vocals. Oh, and just in case you were on the fence about it – this will be one of Bonobo’s last live performances with the band until his next album comes out, so better jump on snatching a set of those tickets here ASAP.
For a more French take on electronic style, St Germain (the artist – not the liqueur) will also be performing live, bringing the party with his meticulously mixed, unique take on production. Not only does he draw upon an international cache of mixes, he also utilizes unique, traditional instruments such as the kora (a West African lute-bridge-harp) in his tracks.
If you’re out to root for the home team, New York based Matthew Dear (experimental producer and co-founder of Ghostly International) and rising bass star Daktyl will also be on board to take the party to the next level.
Don’t miss out on your chance to attend one of the best parties of the summer – head over to The Brooklyn Mirage and grab your tickets before they sell out!
