Halloween Themed Escape Rooms at Xtreme Action Park During October

“My name is Scoop,” said a leather jacket clad young man, flashing a lopsided grin. Sunglasses on, lollipop in mouth and a comb in hand, Scoop sashayed around the Halloween themed diner, bobbing his head to a ‘50s song from the jukebox.

Ten of us were gathered in Xtreme Action Park’s escape room  “Dine in at Dusk”, where an 18 year old diner waitress had gone missing. It was up to us to find out what happened to her and to, of course, escape the room.

Alas, we were a few seconds too short to escape within the allotted hour. Despite being stuck on the last clue, we took advantage of every single person’s skill set. I highly recommend this room for first time escapees. Pro tip: this is a fun double or even triple date idea.

Scoop was a live actor, a Halloween twist on the escape rooms that is available Friday-Sunday after 7 p.m. this entire month. Participation in these themed escape rooms costs $40 per person.

Other escape rooms available include Geneva Trail, a murder mystery that takes place in a cabin, and Two Thirty Nine, a room enclosed in complete darkness with the exception of a digital clock. All three escape rooms cost $30 (non Halloween themed) to participate and require 3-6 or 3-10 participants, dependent on the room. Difficulty and intensity levels with each scenario.
