Built alongside the grand estate in 1916, Vizcaya Village features more than dozen buildings that originally served as staff housing and stables for farm animals. Come learn about the history of this unique portion of Vizcaya and explore its future as a more accessible and enjoyable space for the community.

BEHIND THE VELVET ROPE: TOUR VIZCAYA’S MOAT  | *Vizcaya Member Exclusive*

Roll up your sleeves and discover a hidden side of Vizcaya on the first ever special access tour. Follow Vizcaya horticulture expert Jeffrey Summers and artist Duane Brant on a guided trek through Vizcaya’s moat, located underneath the ticket booth and driveway.

The tour will explore the history of the space as well as the fauna that has developed within in over the past 100 years. It will also feature insights on the contemporary art installation currently featured in the moat provided by the artist himself.

TRIO YOGA AT VIZCAYA

Dates: Sunday, February 26 | 9:00 – 10:00 a.m.  

TICKETS: $18

Vizcaya welcomes Trio Yoga for a new yoga series at the estate. Admission is limited to Vizcaya members and practitioners at Trio Yoga.

Join Trio Yoga’s experienced instructors for a 60-minute, all-level vinyasa class. Classes are held in various locations throughout Vizcaya, including the Garden Mound, South Terrace, Boat Landing, and other evocative locations through the estate.

Guests are welcome to send the rest of the day exploring the gardens and Main House following the class. Come breathe, stretch, and meditate over Vizcaya.


SEERSUCKER SOCIAL: A 1920 GAME NIGHT

TICKETS: $20 for Adults I $6 for Children, 6-12

Seersucker Social is back for its second year in a row! Taking inspiration from the 1920s, when Vizcaya was James Deering’s private home, the museum is hosting a game night in the gardens complete with lawn bowling, yard dice, croquet and more. Enjoy Deering-era cocktails and yummy bites while musicians liven up the atmosphere with some great jazz sounds.

Guests are encouraged to dress the part and get dandy by wearing their flapper dresses, seersucker jackets and other 1920s garb.

VIZCAYA CENTENNIAL PRESERVATION LUNCHEON

Each year approximately 300 guests from South Florida’s philanthropic society attend the Preservation Luncheon, also known as the hat luncheon, as attendees are encouraged to wear stylish hats. The luncheon raises funds to preserve and protect Vizcaya Museum and Gardens for the community. This year, the centennial edition of this special event features Laurie Jennings, Emmy Award-winning reporter and the evening co-anchor for WPLG, as the Mistress of Ceremonies.

The Preservation Luncheon begins with a late morning cocktail reception in the magnificent Vizcaya Gardens and continues with an elegant seated luncheon. This year we welcome you to join our fashionable fashion contest at the luncheon.


FAMILY PROGRAM: ZINE MAKING WITH ARTIST AMANDA KEELEY

Sunday, March 12 | 2:00 – 3:30 p.m. 

TICKETS: FREE

Lost Spaces and Stories of Vizcaya artist Amanda Keeley, in collaboration with Exile Books, will lead a workshop for families to create their own zine, a small print, hand-made magazine, drawing inspiration from Vizcaya’s archive. Dig into Vizcaya’s unique history, discover a new story, and create your own original zine!

Recommended for children ages 6-12 and their families. Free with museum admission.


GARDENS BY MOONLIGHT FEATURING CYNTHIA FLEISCHMANN

Enjoy a moonlit evening as you wander freely through Vizcaya’s formal gardens. Explore on your own, or take one of our free guided tours for that extra bit of “insider” information! Complete the evening with a glass of wine by the bay or indulge in the delicious temptations available in the Café & Shop.

For one night only, artist Cynthia Fleischmann will be painting human canvases to blend into the surroundings of Vizcaya’s natural environment.

DISCLOSUREFleischmann’s work always begins with a completely nude figure. Discretion is advised. Guests must be on site by 8:00 p.m. to be admitted.
