VeritageMiami – Four Days of Upscale Wine, Craft Beer and Food

VeritageMiami will celebrate its 21st anniversary with four new dates in 2017, after the original dates were postponed due to Hurricane Matthew. The four days of world-class culinary indulgence have been extended throughout the spring, beginning on January 27. Tickets are now on sale at www.veritagemiami.com.

Celebrating 21 years, VeritageMiami benefits United Way of Miami-Dade, and has raised more than $12 million, supporting programs in our community that are focused on improving education, financial stability and health – the building blocks for a good life.  Events include: the popular Interactive Dinner at the JW Marriott Marquis Miami on January 27, a Craft Beer Tasting at Wynwood Walls on February 9, a Fine Wine Tasting at the Shops at Merrick Park on March 15 and the final and brand new event is the Auction & Bubbly Brunch at the Ritz Carlton Key Biscayne, on March 26.

Interactive Dinner – considered one of the year’s most unique culinary experiences – guests will team up and cook a three-course meal under the tutelage of Bravo’s “Top Chef” season 13 winner, Jeremy Ford, who also serves as the chef de cuisine at The Miami Beach EDITION and S Matador Room by Jean-Georges Vongerichten.  Johnson & Wales University students will serve as sous chefs, helping guests at each table, and the dinner is accompanied by Best in Glass gold and silver medal wines, which were previously selected by some of South Florida’s top sommeliers.  After dinner, get ready for a celebration like no other as the DJ is sure to get everyone dancing.

Friday, January 27

6:30 – 7:30 pm: Bacardi Cocktail Reception and Silent Auction

7:30 pm: Dinner

$500 per person; $4,000 per table of eight

Craft Beer Tasting – tap in to more than 140 top-notch local, regional and national brews, complemented by delicious bites from dozens of South Florida restaurants, with the artsy, mural –adorned, Wynwood Walls as the backdrop at this walk-around, tasting event.

Participating restaurants include: R House Wynwood, Happy Wine, Joey’s, KYU, Proof Pizza & Pasta, Pincho Factory, Shake Shack, Spring Chicken, Palomilla Grill, among many others. New to this year’s tasting is: an expansion to the Wynwood Gardens area, which will be home to life-size lawn games; and a new “brewcade” to cool off and enjoy arcade games. The fun only continues after the tasting at the exclusive Young Leader and LINC Craft Beer After-Party at The Wynwood Yard.

Contest: Each guest will have the opportunity to vote for their favorite restaurant and beer at the event. People’s Choice Award winners will receive bragging rights, as well as extended coverage on social media.

Thursday, February 9

Wynwood Walls, 2550 NW 2 nd Ave, Miami

$75 per person VIP admission; $55 per person general admission

Fine Wine Tasting – Enjoy an unparalleled variety of nearly 400 wines from around the world, paired with innovative dishes prepared by some of South Florida’s top chefs.  The French Horn Collective will bring live entertainment to the event.

Participating restaurants include: Bocce, Bulla Gastrobar, DIRT, Dragonfly Izakaya & Fish Market, Glass and Vine, Pinch Kitchen, STK Miami, Swine Southern Table & Bar, Uvaggio Wine Bar & Restaurant, and Zest, among many others.

Wednesday, March 15

Shops at Merrick Park, 358 San Lorenzo Avenue, Coral Gables

Auction & Bubbly Brunch – VeritageMiami’s brand new event, features a Perrier Jouët Champagne Reception, followed by a delicious family-style southern brunch, prepared by John Kunkel and his 50 Eggs Inc. team of James Beard-nominated and award-winning restaurants – Yardbird Southern Table and Bar, Swine Southern Table and Bar and the newly opened Spring Chicken. Unique bourbon cocktails will emphasize the southern heritage of the dishes being served, and one-of- a-kind experiences will be auctioned off. Guests can also enjoy a sampling of bourbon and rye whiskies, thanks to Heaven Hill Distilleries, while dancing along to all of today’s top hits with a classic twist from Hip Bop Jazz Band.
