Terasa U Zlaté Studnè Review – Rooftop Dining in Prague

I’ve only been to 30 countries so far, but Prague is the most precious city I have visited. The city is majestic with cobblestone roads, castles and this energy that incessantly reminds you how lucky you are to be here. In this haven of a city I found this marvelous restaurant that allows you to dine overlooking the heavenly rooftops of Prague.  Terasa U Zlaté Studnè is one of those rare finds that offers enchanting food, in a sublime setting, with attentive service and an unparalleled view. While the food itself was quite artistic and beautiful, it was the view of the Prague rooftops I could not avert my eyes from.

I elected the 8 course degustation menu,  but was also able to sample some other goodies at the table. One of the standouts was the ridiculously succulent Grilled Tiger Prawn served with mango carpaccio, fresh avocado and vanilla dressing that was so juicy I almost needed a bib. I drenched the perfect prawn in every last drop of the celestial mango sauce.

Another glorious dish was the Pea Soup Cappuccino that was unique and enrapturing. The consistency was so light, yet had a full body to it. The pea broth was creamy and rich. I wish I could have ordered a Starbuck’s venti of it.

The Parmesan Beet Risotto composed of fresh beets, grated Parmesan Romano cheese and truffles was a sultry and delightful plate. The Parmesan and beets flavors swirled together perfectly and were perfected with the addition of massive truffles.

Whether you come in for a drink, a snack or a full meal, visiting Terasa U Zlaté Studnè is an absolute must for your next trip to Prague. It is not enough to just see the roads of Prague, you must dine amongst the rooftops, as well.
