Suwannee Hulaween – Not Your Average Music Festival
TomorrowWorld has the international acclaim, EDC has the insane and extravagant production value, but if you’re someone looking for something beyond any festival you’ve attended look to Suwannee Hulaween for a truly unique and mind-blowing experience.
Suwannee Hulaween will open its doors to groovy ghouls Halloween weekend (October 30 – November 1) in Live Oak, Florida. See why Hulaween is an experience you shouldn’t miss out on.
The Location – Spirit of Suwannee Music Park is nestled in the heart of an 800 –acre forest, with oak and cypress trees draped in Spanish moss. The breathtaking yet eerie setting is prime for the Hulaween festivities. On top of the natural beauty Suwannee provides, the Spirit Lake Experience takes the three-day music festival to the next level adding lights that pierce through the woods and dance on the trees and pyrotechnics that will shock and amaze. Aside from the lights and fire a sense of community is built at the park with another unique feature…
The Art- The vast grounds and interactive space leaves room for festival-goers to engage with not only the music, but with each other. There is no better example of this than through the art installations that wind their way through the park like the Suwannee River. Described as a “glowing menagerie of multimedia metal work, paintings, sculptures light projections and live performances,” the visual experience you get through the expanded Spirit Lake morphs the forest into a vivid dream-like space. What more could you ask for when wanting to get away at a music festival?
The People- Recently a lot of music festivals have shied away from their true purpose, for people to come and truly experience life and music. Amidst those “raging face” and casually puking mid-conversation, are those who want something more than to just get fucked up. This festival brings the best of the good vibes and none of the negative. You can’t turn without seeing the smiling face of someone experiencing something new and beautiful. You’re hard pressed not to come away without making a handful of new friends.
The Lineup- Not only is there hardly any overlap between artists, there is something for everyone at Hulaween. With over 50 artists performing over the three days festival-goers will be able to hear everything from EDM to funk to bluegrass, with some added surprise collaborations between the artists. Headlining the show, String Cheese Incident is prepped to play seven sets including a special Halloween themed set with a theatrical twist.
Lets face it, Hulaween has more than just a little bit for everyone. Wanna get funky? Listen to any of the 50+ acts set to play. Want to see some art? Look literally anywhere and you’ll find it. Want to truly get away this upcoming Halloween weekend and immerse yourself in a Spanish moss woodland wonderland? Hit up Suwannee Hulaween 2015, you won’t be disappointed.
