Stout Burgers Review – Craft Beer and Burgers

Stout Burger Exterior

In a city full of endless burger joints, it can be difficult to choose just one. Stout Burgers, located in Studio City is more than just a run of the mill burger joint. The good people at Stout Burgers definitely know what they are doing when it comes to crafting gourmet burgers. On a recent visit to the open-air restaurant, we were sat immediately and were given the option to have a seat near the bar or on the patio. Since it was such a beautiful afternoon we opted for the patio. Stout Burgers has an array of craft beers on tap ranging from lagers to specialty ales including a sour ale blend, which is fantastic.

Stout Goombah Burger1

The food menu has a great selection of beef, chicken, and veggie burgers. Being the burger purists that we consider ourselves to be, we decided to go with beef. I went with the Goombah Buger, an all beef patty with smoked mozzarella and prosciutto.  The smoked mozzarella and crispy prosciutto was a wonderful combination with the addition of the lemon basil aioli. The bun was the perfect size for the burger and complimented the marriage of flavors.

Stout Burger

My husband chose the Stout Burger to go alongside his Petrus 50/50 Sour Ale. The burger consisted of blue cheese, emi gruyere, rosemary bacon, caramelized onion horseradish cream, and roasted tomatoes. All the ingredients blended well to create this phenomenal burger and the horseradish gave it a mild kick. This is one was definitely the winner and it makes sense why it is the house burger.

To go alongside our top-notch burgers we also split an order of the seasoned fries, which were perfectly cooked and seasoned with salt and oregano.

Stout GourmetBreadPudding1

You can’t review a restaurant fully without dessert and we were easily convinced once we saw Gourmet Bread Pudding on the menu. The waiter informed us that the bread pudding was made to order and would take up to 20 minutes. It was served warm in a small casserole dish and topped with vanilla bean ice cream. The absolute delicious bread pudding was well worth the wait and was probably the best I have ever had.

I highly recommended Stout Burgers to anyone who loves fine burgers and craft beers. The great food and friendly service will keep me coming back for more.
