Sriracha House Slings Seductive Sauces

While a one year anniversary is not a big deal in divorce ridden America, it is a big deal for any Miami relationship, and especially for a restaurant. We had the distinct pleasure of celebrating Sriracha House’s one year mark, hosted by Miami’s literary heavyweights Jackie Gutierrez-Jones and Galena Mosovich.  South Beach’s Sriracha House is all about slinging Asian noodles with different layers of textures enhanced with ten superb homemade sauces.

Sriracha House is a sauce sanctuary, where the sauces were created and perfected with love by the owners. As an ardent sauce man, I had to douse my tastebuds with each and everyone of them. The Malaysian Yellow Curry, Taiwanese Oyster, and Spicy Thai Peanut made me swoon.

Joining the celebration was Funky Buddha, pouring free craft drafts of local favorites Hop Gun and the Floridian. Jackie and Galena both created special noodle bowls benefiting the Diabetes Research Institute Foundation in celebration of Rebecca Kollaras’s life. Both the Jackie and the Galena are now on the menu. *wink wink*  We also had some boozy cupcakes on hand for “dessert.”

The crowd was stupendous and we had a marvelous time meeting new people, pounding beers and slurping saucy noodles. Check out our new correspondent Vivianne in the video review of the party and restaurant. We are going to create our own Hedonist Shedonist bowl for Sriracha House, so stayed tuned for our crazy saucy concoction.
