SEED Food and Wine Festival, the nation’s first and only plant-based food event of its kind, is thrilled to announce an exciting lineup of chefs and events for its third annual celebration of conscious living. It is scheduled to take place:

Presented by Whole Foods, SEED Food and Wine festival celebrates plant-based foods, fine wine, craft beer and spirits, lifestyle products and companies. All while raising health awareness, having fun and keeping a sense of humor in glorious sun-soaked Miami Beach and Wynwood. Events include upscale dinners, film screenings, garden parties and the nation’s first plant-based Burger Battle. Key chefs and personalities at this year’s events include:

Mary Mattern, LA/NYC-based chef and author of cookbook Nom Yourself: Simple Vegan Cooking

Rich Roll, plant-based ultra-distance athlete, wellness advocate and host of the hugely popular The Rich Roll Podcast

Julie Piatt, chef and cookbook co-author of The Plantpower Way (with Rich Roll)

Brad Kilgore, executive chef at Alter in Miami and a winner of Food & Wine Best New Chef 2016

Jeremy Scullin, chef at KINDRED San Diego, who previously worked as chef at Blossom in New York City and at Rich Landau’s Vedge in Philadelphia

John Lewis, athlete also known as BadassVegan

Ella Magers, plant-based athlete, food and fitness coach, as well as winner of Shape 50 Hottest Trainers.

Main events at the SEED Food and Wine Festival include:

Plant-Based Burger Battle TM, presented by Whole Foods and Eden Roc Miami Beach Resort – Walk the green carpet to the only veggie burger battle in the country on Nov. 3rd. Top chefs vie for guests’ votes for Best Veggie Burger in America with mouthwatering creations, such as the beet-barley-and-black-bean burger glazed with sweet soy and garlic and topped with pickles, scallion, lotus root chips, and spicy mayo by Todd Erickson, the 2015 champion.

SEED Festival Day Tasting Village– Tickets for the ultimate day of plant-based wellness and sustainable living include complimentary tastings from over 200 restaurants, bakeries, treat-makers, wines, spirits and juices. Lounge in the beer garden, get tips at the organic, cruelty-free beauty bar, stretch at the yoga lounge, savor enlightening chef demonstrations and cheer on favorite chefs during a timed cooking challenge. VIP tickets to the Nov. 5th event at the SEED Food and Wine festival are also available.

SEED Summit, presented by VegNews – Two days (Nov. 3rd-4th) of workshops, panels and networking events designed for media, bloggers, influencers and entrepreneurs.

Other events include the Food Forward Conference, 5K Run, Yoga + Brunch, Made in Miami Farm-to-Table Dinner, Sprout Kids Day and East and West chef dinner parties celebrating the best of plant-based food on both coasts.
