The Beautiful People of Vertex 2016
Lost in the fields of Cottonwood Meadows, nestled betwixt the 6 peaks of the Sawatch range, frolicked the smiling music loving faces of the people of Vertex. In its first year Vertex 2016 brought an eclectic group of music lovers from all walks of life to the beautiful Buena Vista venue. As one of the best music festivals of the summer season, Vertex 2016 allowed for so many memories, bonds, and of course plenty of good vibes.
Madison House and AEG Live did a phenomenal job putting together this vision for a truly beautiful all-encapsulating music festival, illuminating the meadow with lights, fire and smiling happy faces. The music was nothing to scoff at either. Vertex brought together a harmonious mixture of electronic jams by Odesza, Jai Wolf, and Gramatik with blusey jam-bandy goodness with Alabama Shakes and the Trey Anastasio Band (just to name a few).
Even with the beautiful location, mind blowing production value and of course, unparalleled lineup… A festival isn’t really a success without a great turnout of extraordinary music lovers. This album is for you, People of Vertex. Revel in the memories and the fact that you were a part of the first of a clearly soon to be long-lasting music festival.
