A Few of Our Favorite Things from LA Food Fest 2016

This past weekend, LA Food Fest 2016 took over Exposition Park in Downtown LA. Foodies, restaurants, food trucks, and everything in between came together to celebrate LA’s vibrant food scene. Eager eaters came with stretchy pants at the ready because with over 100 different vendors, this festival offered something for everyone.

Whether you attended the MRKT, Golden Hour, or the Rose Garden, you feasted. I adored how during Golden Hour, I was able to taste just a little bit of the best from each vendor. I always want to taste, but am rarely hungry enough to down the whole thing.

Some of my favorite tastes included the Acai Bowl from Amazebowls. If you haven’t seen Amazebowls signature coconut filled acai bowl on Instagram, then you just haven’t been looking. I was thrilled to finally taste what all the hype was about. This bowl is as delicious as it is pretty.

Wanderlust Creamery served up a taste of their Vegan Mango ice cream, and their flight of four cones could be seen all around the festival.

Square Donut Ice Cream stole the show because who doesn’t love a donut filled with ice cream covered in caramel and Carmel corn? This two bite treat was heaven and I’ve been left craving more. By the end of day one, they were completely sold out of their signature S’mores flavor and for good reason.

Fritzi Dog doled out delicious mini hot dogs with a kick next to Donutville, a tent dedicated to the best of LA’s donut scene. There you could taste samples of ICDC (seen below,) California Donut, Donut Friend, and Birdies to name a few.

By the end of Golden Hour, I was in a food coma, which only a nap would revive me from. LA Food Fest 2016 drew the hungry masses and by the looks of social media, people left pretty darn pleased. Can’t wait to eat it all again next year!
