Get Buzzed at the New York Coffee Festival
Getting buzzed is not mutually exclusive to solely drinking. In fact, coffee connoisseurs are buzzing both from the excitement and the sense they’ll feel at the upcoming New York Coffee Festival. Last year’s inaugural event of The New York Coffee Festival went so well that they have come back with an even more impressive program. This year includes more vendors, new lab sessions, latte art work and more which is to take place at the 69th Regiment Armory on Lexington Ave from September 16-18.
Representing New York, we will see coffee shops such as Café Grumpy, Joe Coffee Company, Toby’s Estate; however, there will be over 100 exhibitors from around the nation at this event. Going to the festival isn’t solely about trying new coffees; you’ll be able to also partake in many demonstrations, workshops and talks.
New things for this year include Latte Art Live, The Village and the Espresso Martini bar:
You know you’ve seen teddy bears in latte art and have always wondered how they came to be. The Latte Art Live area will give you the opportunity to learn from the best baristas New York City has to offer. Even better, there are guest baristas from around the world. Roll up your sleeves and pay attention to these demos and sooner than you know it, you might be able to whip up some of your own art creations.
The Village will showcase small innovative brands and many new coffee products that have not yet hit the market! Upon sampling some of these up and coming items, you can make your way over to the Coffee Masters NYC, a fast-paced barista competition. 16 contenders from the US, Sweden, UK and Australia will go head to head on a broad range of disciplines: Cupping, Brewing, Latte Art, The Order, The Signature Drink, The Espresso Blend, and The Origin. The Espresso Martini Bar reads as it is: an outlet for an exciting range of coffee cocktails that will excite even the most casual coffee drinker, let alone coffeeholics.
