The Divide Music Festival – The Alternative, Alternative Music Festival

Divide Music Festival – The Alternative, Alternative Music Festival

Stuck in the mundane drudge of everyday life, a glimmer of hope appears in the form of The Divide Music Festival. Breaking away from the typical festival experience, Divide Music Festival combines all the greatest things about Colorado livin’. Kicking off July 22-24 in Winter Park Colorado, this three-day camping festival is bringing all of our favorite artists together to celebrate our love for live music and the great outdoors.

The Divide Music Festival is brand spanking new, and is already making a huge splash just on the line up alone. Featuring AAA radio performers, this independent and locally produced festival will have the likes of Blondie, CAKE, Passion Pit, Kid Cudi, and my personal favorite Edward Sharpe & the Magnetic Zeroes. The Divide will also feature a number of up and coming Colorado artists such as Gipsy Moon, Foxfield Four, Edison and One Flew West. And so many more.

The Divide Music Festival

Aside from the flashback and favorite jams to be enjoyed by all, The Divide Music Festival offers some alternative fun to go with your alternative music. Back dropped by the beautiful Continental divide (name makes sense now huh?), Divide aims to celebrate everything about Colorado – including its love for the great outdoors.

Allowing festivalgoers a unique festival experience, you can sign up for guided hiking, biking, and yoga (you can even pick your level of expertise) OR enjoy some fly-fishing or zip lining nearby.

Gates for the festival don’t open until 12 and guided trips start at 9am, so you have all morning to explore nature, enjoy the mountains and of course make some new festie friends! Even if you just hang around your campsite, you will be completely immersed in the beauty of Winter Park’s Grounds and atmosphere. Honestly, it’ll be hard to stay put with over 600 miles of biking and hiking trails surrounding you.

Another awesome perk about this festival is its location. Yeah Yeah its in the mountains we know, I’ve gushed over that in almost every paragraph – BUT Winter Park’s Ski Tram has been a long running means of transportation for weekend skiers and boarders to shoot up to the mountain straight from Denver’s Union Station. Lucky Divide Music Festival-goers have the luxury of landing at DIA and taking the new East Rail Commuter Line to Union Station and straight to the doors of Divide. Pretty convenient not having to worry about renting a car or hitchin’ your way up the mountains, huh?

Overall The Divide Music Festival is a new twist on all your summer favorites. Truly capturing Colorado vibes, this festival will definitely be one for the books… and everyone knows the first fest is always the best fest. I’m getting in on the ground floor and absolutely adding this one to my summer festival list and I suggest you do too – there is still time to snag your spot and figure out your lodging. Or if you’re feelin’ lucky you can Enter To Win the Ultimate VIP package and reap all the perks of this one-of-a-kind music festival.
