Dirtybird Campout 2016 – Where Everyone’s a Winner

Dirtybird Campout 2016 –  Where Everyone’s a Winner

Have you heard? Dirtybird Campout 2016 is upon us and Claude Vonstroke, father of Dirtybird Records, has just been voted America’s Best DJ. In the words of the king himself, “That means Dirtybird Campout is America’s Best Festival, right?” Yes, Papa Claude, it really is. For their second year, Dirtybird has partnered with The Do LaB, known for their production with festivals like Coachella and Lightning in a Bottle. Dirtybird Campout is taking place from Friday, October 7th through Sunday, October 9th at Oak Canyon Park in Silverado, Ca.

After attending 2015’s Dirtybird Campout with their signature summer camp theme, I can easily say it was my favorite festival experience to date. Not only that, but Dirtybird has quickly become my absolute favorite EDM record label by far. Ever since the first track I heard, Claude Vonstroke’s, Dood, I was in love. The consistency in each artist and between each artist to deliver that “Dirtybird” sound is something hard to capture and these guys do it best. On top of their bass driven funk, family-like fan base, and quirky event ideas, you’ll never meet a group of more humble players who are truthfully are out just to have fun with their fans. When you party at a Dirtybird event, you’re not just watching the artists perform, you’re partying along side them.

Dirtybird Campout 2016

This year’s Dirtybird Campout is expected to welcome about 2,000 more attendees than last year. All the past highlights will be featured again, including favorite camp activities and crafts, delicious BBQs, and not to mention, a super STACKED lineup. Campout is definitely coming back with a bang! New shenanigans to look forward to will be wood carving workshops, night-time hikes, animal encounters, pizza social with Justin Martin, moonlight capture the flag, late night karaoke, and much more. There will be a new and improved BBQ spread with more food options to choose from (vegan too!). Grill master, Grillson is working with The Grand Artique and Fire Breather BBQ to provide tasty goodness plus hours of entertainment at the Bunkhouse.

This year will also showcase more contests and tournaments like the drunken waiter relay race and beatboxing for fans to play together and show their Dirtybird spirit. The famous Campout Tree Fort is also expected to have more levels for climbing plus more beer to sample! – pretty great combo, huh? The goal of Dirtybird Campout is to have a fun place where all the different Dirtybird fans can come together and have an adventure. It’s a place for attendees to express their creativity and give them a chance to fall into any ridiculous activity at any moment in time.

This festival brings out the inner child. Attendees can let go and take advantage of nature’s simplicities. Filled with arts and crafts, yoga, and team scavenger hunts, you’ll never find a festival quite like this one. Fans can even look forward to custom patches, where they will be rewarded as Early Bird, Night Owl, Fire Starter, Keepin’ it Weird, Pretty Bird, and/or Team Leader. The fan participation is what makes Campout such a unique experience. Each patch design was created from fan submissions and will be handed out to all those deserving. The label has even offered volunteer opportunities for those who can’t afford to attend. They’ve actually adopted the event phrase, Where Everyone’s a Winner and there couldn’t be anything more true.

After the opportunity to pre-order official Campout merch, the release of their own LazyPak design, and the several Road to Campout mixes to keep us hyped on our countdown to Campout, who wouldn’t be jumping off their seats to become a dirty birdie?

A limited amount of passes are still available for purchase. Visit the Dirtybird Campout website for more information and make sure to snag your tickets HERE before they sell out!
