Digest Miami announces the launch of Bureau of Spirits, a series of rotating craft spirits and culinary events that will bring together local and national small batch distilleries, craft breweries and South Florida’s best local chefs. Digest Miami continues its commitment to culinary exploration with these intimate experiences. Each Bureau of Spirits event features a meet and greet with master distillers and brewers, unique cocktails and tastings, chefs’ selected pairings and a unique opportunity to learn about the people and processes that make up the craft movement.
In addition, Digest Miami has collaborated with Jennifer Massolo, founder of The Liquid Projects and Miami’s CRAFT Spirits and Beer event, who has skillfully curated the spirits and cocktail program for this event. Massolo brings 20 years of industry experience beginning in Vancouver at French spirits giant Remy Martin and then continued with Viña Concha y Toro – the largest winery in the southern hemisphere.
On September 25th, the Bureau of Spirits launch event will be held at recently opened A.I.R. (Artist in Residence) on Miami Beach showcasing spirits from Wicked Dolphin, Miami Club Rum and Alchemist Distilleries along with small bites from Kris Wessel of Oolite and local produce provided by Seasons Farm Fresh. A limited number of tickets are available to the public at $25 per person until September 22nd then increasing to $35 after that date.
Following the launch event, Digest Miami will host a craft beer dinner at Michael Mina 74 featuring J Wakefield Brewery on October 15th. The collaboratory dinner is the first for Johnathan Wakefield as he prepares for the highly anticipated opening of his Wynwood brewery. The evening will present an extraordinary menu of custom created JWB brews paired with exquisite dishes prepared by Chef de Cuisine Thomas Griese of Michael Mina 74. A limited number of seats are available at $135 per person including tax and gratuity.
The Bureau of Spirits launch event on September 25th at A.I.R will also celebrate the official kickoff of the 2nd Annual CRAFT: Spirits & Beer event to be held in January 2015. Bureau of Spirits events are open to Digest Miami members and a limited number of tickets will be made available to the general public.
