Chroma Modern Bar + Kitchen Brings Flavor to the Lake Nona Area

Chroma Modern Bar + Kitchen is a Hotspot in the Lake Nona Community of Orlando

The Lake Nona district of Orlando has quickly grown into one of the city’s most popular residential districts, so it should come as no surprise that delicious dining would follow. Enter Chroma Modern Bar + Kitchen, a unique kitchen and bar at the center of the budding Lake Nona Town Center.

Chroma Modern Bar + Kitchen is part of the Tavistock Restaurant Collection, who also brought Canvas Restaurant & Market to Lake Nona. The restaurant was buzzing on a Saturday night, with almost every table occupied by happy date night-ers and bigger groups. The ambiance upon arrival is warm, welcome yet hip. Spacious booths and a gorgeous center bar set the tone, with a partial open-concept kitchen as a backdrop. Upon arrival, guests are greeted by a lit up, colorful wonder of a modern art installation, entitled “Fusion”. Photos don’t do the piece justice, but the entire exterior of the restaurant is unique and bright.

The restaurant is tapas style, small plates with an modern American twist. We decided to start with a few different plates while we had a few drinks, and order more as we felt necessary. The beverage options are abundant: tons of fresh cocktails and a great wine list.

For our first round, we ordered the Cheese Board, Crab Spring Rolls, and Baked House Meatballs. While all were delish, the spring rolls really stood out. Extremely flavorful and we loved the accompanying veggies.

For round 2, we switched to wine, and ordered a few more small plates. We started with the Chroma Burger Sliders (pictured at the top), as they came highly recommended by our knowledgeable server: I, in turn, highly recommend them to you. Perfect mini burgers. We also really enjoyed the Charred Shishito Peppers, seasoned to perfection and served with a buttermilk dressing.
