Brunch Cocktails Recipes that are Sure to Impress

Brunch Cocktails Recipes that are Sure to Impress

By Jennifer Shanteau

Tired of sipping the same old Mimosas and Bellinis every weekend? Ok, so maybe not, but want to try something new for a change? Or maybe you have that one friend who is perpetually bored? (Oh, wait, that’s me.)  Upgrade your brunch game with a Brunch Cocktails that is sure to please, and keep even the pickiest of companions complaint free.

First, the Champagne Cocktail, something so classic, yet when do you ever see it offered anywhere?  It’s so easy to make, you don’t even need a special occasion.  All you need is bubbly, (I’ve chosen the Luc Belaire Brut), Bitters (Angostura here) and sugar cubes.

The process of creating this festive concoction could not be easier.  If you couldn’t read, and just looked at the pictures below, you could make it, no joke.  Simply, drop a sugar cube into a champagne glass, coat with a few drops of Angostura Bitters and top with Luc Belaire Brut Champagne.  That’s it.  I kid you not. I served this once, and the amount of accolades I received was well worth the extra second it took me to make this.

I admit, it felt a tiny bit sacrilegious adding anything at all to these delectable champagnes, but the next cocktail may tempt you enough to surmount your guilt. I’m told by my European friend at Juuz Me, where I purchased the best raspberry sorbet I think I’ve ever had, that where he comes from, they call this drink a “Fizz“.  It’s even simpler than the first cocktail, but more decadent.   What’s the recipe?  I used Luc Belaire Rose and Rasberry Sorbet to make this Rasberry Fizz.  It was girly, sweet and refreshing…the perfect libation for a wedding or baby shower, girls brunch, or just sipping at the pool.  Of course, I felt no shame drinking it by myself on a nice, sunny day.
