Beaker & Gray Brunch – Affordable & Tasty

Beaker & Gray Brunch – Affordable & Tasty

Nestled in the heart of Wynwood, Beaker & Gray is becoming a favorite with foodies and mixology lovers. Chef/Owner Brian Nasajon just launched a stellar weekend brunch.  Beaker & Gray has already impressed us with its lunch and drinks, (full review here) and now this awesome spot serves up a very emticing brunch.

The brunch menu is served Saturday and Sunday from 11AM to 4PM,. Start with a glorious Waffle Panini ($15) – pork belly rillette, Gruyere and maple mustard. You can rarely go wrong with succulent pork belly and these waffles take the swine belly up a notch.

Get dazzled with the Chilaquiles ($18) – pollo asado, yucca and chipotle. This was my first Chilaq experience and I loved how the crispy chips and creamy chicken and sauce melded with the saucy egg.

The Croque Madame ($17) – oxtail, Gruyere and sourdough was another winner. The oxtail is superb and Gruyere is one of my favorite cheeses.

I know it was brunch, but their burger is the best on Wynwood! Wagyu Burger, tomatillo, bacon jam, caramelized onion aioli is a dreamy combination.

Let us not forget about dessert. Beaker & Gray’s Pastry Chef John Maieli has baked up a selection of Sweet servings. The talented pâtissier pays homage to classic American staples with a Skillet Cookie with cafecito ice cream

And an adult version (even though no alcohol) of a Toaster Strudel ($12) – puff pastry, Honeycrisp apples and ice cream.

Brunch-goers can bypass the mimosas and delight in Owner/Bar Manager Ben Potts’ weekend creations including Beets By Gray ($10) – cava, Mandarine, Giffard Pamplemousse and beet sorbet; My Tie Fighter ($12) – Miami Club rum, Smith & Cross rum, chai, acid-adjusted pineapple; and Teenage Mutant Ginger Turtle ($12) – Reyka vodka, tomatillo, ginger and house pepper blend.

Nasajon has also introduced 4-course and 6-course prix fixe tasting menus, available nightly and priced at $40 and $60, respectively (excluding tax and gratuity). Happy Hour patrons can also experience new creations such as Grilled Cheese ($6) with chorizo and Swiss cheese; Cheesy Fries ($6) with aji amarillo and queso fresco; and Croquettes ($7) with Wagyu, Manchego cheese and jerk-aioli.
