Beaker and Gray Wynwood – Now Open For Lunch

Beaker and Gray Wynwood – Now Open For Lunch

Getting recipes down to a science can be tricky; if you mess up the ratio, the end result might not turn out as expected. Beaker and Gray has perfected the restaurant recipe in Miami’s Wynwood neighborhood: one part eatery, one part bar led by Executive Chef Brian Nasajon and Bar Manager Ben Potts. This dynamic duo continues to strive for more and we got to experience it in the launch of their new lunch menu.

Beaker and Gray Loaded Fries

It was love at first bite with the Loaded Fries. An explosion of flavors, such as local spices, huancaina sauce and a bacon vinaigrette, are exquisitely combined and will leave you wanting more days after consumption. Topped off with cheese and chunks of bacon, the fries were something that the table could not stop pounding.

Beaker and Gray Waygu Burger

There are many great burgers in Miami; this Wagyu Burger is up there. It is stacked with beer soaked tomatillo, ever flowing gouda, and pickled cucumber. Cooked to the perfect temperature, any burger connoisseur would claim it is nothing less than succulent.

Beaker and Gray Day Off Shandy

A selection of cocktails is offered including the Day Off Shandy– a sixpoint crisp, cointreau, pineapple oleo and grapefruit soda concoction. One sip and -just like that- Beaker and Gray might become your new favorite watering hole.

Beaker and Gray Tempura Grouper Sandwich

Another option for lunch that had people talking was the light and delicious Tempura Grouper that comes with pickled shallot, smoked paprika and dill. The grouper was fresh and upon taking a bite into this tempura battered fish, it was the ultimate marriage of crispy and tender on the inside. Both the burger and grouper came alongside a chayote, handled like a summer squash, slaw. The slaw was marinated in Asian flavors that culminated with a nice subtle kick of spice and was garnished with peanuts.

Beaker-and-Gray-wynwood Short-Rib-Bowl

One of the highlights of the meal was the Braised Short Rib bowl. The melt-in-your-mouth brisket, combined with the crunchiness of tempura avocado and cilantro sushi rice, was something one could not forget. This bowl is certainly big enough to split but, like an only child asked to share toys, you won’t want to.

Beaker and Gray is located at 2637 N Miami Ave, Miami, FL 33139.  Valet service is available as well as metered street parking. For reservations or more information, visit beakerandgray.com.
