Miami might just be the sexiest city on the planet and helping us cement our title, Bagatelle Miami has opened a South Beach outpost. Villa Bagatelle is from the creators of Bistrot Bagatelle, who operate fashionable and sultry bistros with the same name in New York, Los Angeles, St. Barth, São Paulo and St. Tropez. Think of Bagatelle Miami as a hot dance club that also happens to serve food. The restaurant has an array of club lights, gorgeous models with their rich “friends,” and a stellar DJ spinning all night. As the night progresses the music gets louder, the lights get flashier, and more bottles than cuisine come out of the kitchen.
We had a great time there eating, drinking and watching all the stunning models parade by for incessant cigarette breaks. Our favorite plates were the Sliders Rossini and the Bagatelle Cheesecake Napoleon. The decadent sliders were lathered with Hudson sautéed foie gras, red onion compote, aged cheddar cheese and black truffle mayonnaise on a toasted brioche bun. Yes, there is truffle and foie on these babies! The celestial cheesecake was made with organic goat cheese layered between crispy phyllo with sweet pesto, Riesling sorbet. The flavor profile and varying textures were remarkable. Check out these dishes and the seductive scene in our Bagatelle Miami video review.
