The Amstel Light Burger Bash is the crown jewel of the South Beach Wine and Food Festival. These $250 tickets usually sell out in less than 48 hours. 30 of the most talented burger makers from across the country gathered on the sands of South Beach to compete and pleasurably feed die hard burger addicts.
One of Miami’s favorite restaurants, Pincho Factory took home the People’s Choice Award and my winner for Best Damn Burger. Pincho Factory’s Croquesta Burger was palate busting. I bit into it and the enchanting flavor exploded into my swooning mouth. It consisted of a brisket, short rib, and chuck croquette with Swiss, pickles, mustard and mayo in a brioche bun.
Rounding out our Top 3 was Morimoto’s orgasmic Short Rib Burger with Wagyu beef short rib and pickles. We got the Iron Chef so excited that he started dancing in our video.

My bronze medal went to Blue Collar for it’s succulent Real Juicy Cheeseburger – prime dry aged short loin, American cheese, house pickle on a delightful Portuguese muffin.
Lure Fish Bar won the Judge’s Award with its Bash Burger – caramelized onion and bacon jam, shaved pickles, American cheese and secret sauce.
If you truly adore burgers, then the Burger Bash is not to be missed at the South Beach Wine and Food Festival.
