Adventure Vault’s Prison Redemption Proves to be Fun Team Building Exercise

Last week, my Thursday night was spent handcuffed to 3 other people. The location was in a small, enclosed space with 4 others handcuffed as well. Our view consisted of a small bench, bars, and bare walls.

No, we didn’t violate parole, nor were we partaking in a low budget porno skit. Me, five coworkers, and a coworker’s wife were actually partaking in an escape room scenario called Prison Redemption at Adventure Vault.

The scenario for this particular room is as follows: you and your friends are framed for a multitude of bank robberies, but your lawyers were unable to clear your names. Therefore, you and your friends have to use clues to break out of prison yourselves.

Luckily, we managed to escape the room within the hour, with three minutes to spare. The cherry on the cake was discovering that this room was one of the most difficult Adventure Vault had to offer. After taking over an hour to escape the other two scenarios, it was a nice boost for our self esteems!

The other two rooms include Death and Breakfast, about a road trip ending with a cannibal, and Mystery of Sherlock, a pursuit for the famous detective.

A walkie talkie is placed in the room in all three rooms for participants to ask for hints if perplexed. Even though some clues have no repercussions, others may come at a cost: extra minutes are added to the end time for each hint requested. Participants must also place their phones in lockers before partaking in the activity, so cheaters are not welcomed.

The recommended number of players is dependent on the room and can be 2-6 or 2-8.

More participants can be accommodated as need be. Admission is $28 per person and those that book the entire room receive an automatic 20% discount.

Adventure Vault is located at 3350 NW 2nd Ave, Suite A4 Boca Raton FL, 33431. Call (561) 922-3881 or visit adventure-vault.com.
