4 Rivers Kissimmee Launches as its Sixth Orlando-Area Location

Chef and owner John Rivers announces today the opening of 4 Rivers Kissimmee location, adding to the brands growing list of Florida locations. The restaurant will employ 75 new team members bringing the employment count for the Central Florida-based brand to 632. This Smokehouse marks the brand’s sixth opening in the Orlando area and 12th opening overall.
“We are very excited to bring 4 Rivers to the Kissimmee community,” says Rivers. “The positive feedback we have received from this expansion has been tremendous.”
The Florida-based smokehouse brand is known for its cross-regional approach to barbecue with more than 10 styles of menu options ranging from the signature Texas-Style 18-Hour Smoked Angus Brisket to the Burnt Ends and Smokehouse Prime Rib, as well as barbecue signatures such as the Southern Pulled Pork, St. Louis Style Ribs and Smoked Chicken. Its deli-style walkup enables guests to select from cut-to-order proteins and mix and match house made sides, such as Baked Cheese Grits, Smoked Jalapeños, Cornbread Salad and Smokehouse Corn made fresh daily.
Named one of Nation’s Restaurant News’ “Top 10 Breakout Brands,” 4 Rivers Smokehouse has been named “Best Barbecue” by Florida Travel + Life and Orlando Magazine. Its award-winningTexas-style 18-hour smoked angus brisket has been featured in Cooking with Paula Deen, Bon Appetit, Cowboys & Indians, Saveur, The Local Palate and Food & Wine magazine. Chef John Rivers’ cookbook, The Southern Cowboy, along with his sauces and rubs will be available for purchase in store.
In addition to the new Kissimmee location, 4 Rivers Smokehouse announced its plans for expansion into Coral Springs later this year, with an additional location slated for Atlanta in 2017.
